It would be simple to have a form that each employee could sign & check the box Do you want a portion of your union dues to go towards political purposes? YES NO However that has NEVER been done so a portion of my union dues and every other union member, goes to candidates I would NEVER vote for! There was a time that the union served a purpose, however the UAW has now become what they fought against a bloated, corrupt bureaucracy build on lock step nepotism. In addition, those who challenge their authority will find themselves in a vulnerable position in the workplace NO "CARD CHECK!"
