Interesting how the cuts were arranged to portray Reagan the politician as the intellectual (which he was certainly NOT) and Obama (who is universally accepted as intellectually sharp) as the promise spewing politican. Did Reagan even attempt to put together a national health policy, change business-as-usual in the financial markets, even face the financial disaster that Obama inherited from another Republican, or attempt to broaden and upgrade the US image around the world. He did not. While it is easy to judge Reagan’s legacy it is totally unfair to compare the two presidents. Give Obama at least the same chance to prove his worth. After all, he has only been in office since January.
Hearing Obama’s demagoguery brought a tear to my eye for our nation.
