A Great Week at Boy Scout
I was lucky enough to spend a few evenings and days at our boy scout camp this week. A few thunderstorms and tornado warning made for some interesting evenings, but overall, a great week for the kids.

Thanks Union Bosses!
Here is a great, funny and maybe a bit too much to the point parody on how unions “serve” their members and how they “thank” them for the perks. Watch & share!

Stuart Rothenberg – Let’s Poke Holes in the “Anti-Incumbent” Hype
“There are plenty of data showing that voters distrust politicians, are unhappy with the direction of the country, have a low opinion of Washington institutions and officeholders, and are sympathetic to “outsider” candidates preaching change…But this mood has not resulted in voters engaging in a scorched-earth policy against incumbents or in most “establishment” candidates falling in primaries. It simply hasn’t happened.”

Mort Zuckerman: World Sees Obama as Incompetent and Amateur
The president is well-intentioned but can’t walk the walk on the world stage
America right now appears to be unreliable to traditional friends, compliant to rivals, and weak to enemies. One renowned Asian leader stated recently at a private dinner in the United States, “We in Asia are convinced that Obama is not strong enough to confront his opponents, but we fear that he is not strong enough to support his friends.”

Republicans’ Midterm Voting Enthusiasm Tops Prior Years
New data from Gallup today suggests that Republican voters are significantly more enthusiastic about the 2010 midterm elections than in years past, further evidence of an energized GOP base heading into the fall campaign.

Republicans’ Midterm Voting Enthusiasm Tops Prior Years – largest in Gallup history dating to 1994

Chris Cillizza said  ”Put simply: Midterm elections tend to be low turnout affairs, making the two party bases — the most reliable of voters — even more important. When one party’s base is, to borrow a phrase, fired up and ready to go and the others isn’t, major change can happen.”
